Four FFA officers, Rebekah Lucas, Ashleigh King, RyAnne Herron, and Ethan Lucas, went to the Missouri State Fair on Tuesday 13, 2019, to participate in the Food Insecurity Day. They packed lunches and put food together, and altogether they packed 128,460 meals.

After packing meals the FFA chapter members went to different vendors and learned all about different techniques of how to make the human everyday life easier. Fun fact: like snowflakes, no cow has the same type of pattern. And an acre of corn will give off 4,000 gallons of water per day in evaporation. The FFA members learned so many different and interesting facts about the everyday life of a farmer.

FFA members Ally Demott and Rylee Jenkins showed steers at the Missouri State Fair. Ally placed first in class with her home-raised market steer and third place in class with her market heifer. Rylee placed 3rd in class with her market steer.

All members gained lots of experience and enjoyed a day at the State Fair.
