Rock Port R-II students were greeted by several new faces when the school year began.

JENNIFER RUECKERT

Jennifer Rueckert is the new art teacher for Rock Port Elementary and Rock Port High School. She graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a BSEd in Art. She formerly worked at Nodaway-Holt as a paraprofessional. She and her husband, Brian, have been married 35 years. They have four grown children, four grandchildren and have lived in Maitland for over 20 years. Jennifer enjoys photography and oil painting, and is excited to share her love of art with the students at Rock Port. “My hope is that every student who comes to art class will discover their creative gift.”

JEREMY PALMER

Jeremy Palmer is the Agricultural Education /FFA Advisor. He grew up in Purdin, Missouri, raising cattle and sheep. He was involved in 4-H and FFA and showed cattle, sheep and pigs. He graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a Bachelor degree in Ag Education and a Masters degree in Ag Education. He enjoys spending time with his wife Abby, Rock Port High School’s band and chorus teacher, and son Oscar. He also enjoys farming, hunting and fishing.

JORDAN DURAN

Jordan Duran is a paraprofessional. Jordan is a Tarkio High School graduate and lives in Tarkio with her husband, Manny, and their four children. Her hobbies include raising chickens, tending to her garden, and baking. Her goals for the new year include learning all the students and staff names, cultivating relationships and leaving a positive imprint at the school.

MICHELLE HOGUE

Michelle Hogue is the High School Math teacher. She is originally from southeast Kansas (a small town called Edna), but now lives in Peru, Nebraska. She will teach Math, Algebra I and Geometry. Before joining the faculty at Rock Port, she had a wide array of teaching experiences including teaching middle school in Kansas City, Kansas, high school in Monett, Missouri, and even some adult education and college courses at local community colleges. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Baker University and Masters in Teaching from Pittsburg State University. Her husband, Jason Hogue, is the Director of Marketing and Communications at Peru State College. They have two children who will be attending Rock Port Elementary: Gideon, 7, and Elsie, 5. Her hobbies include crocheting, baking, and dominating board games.

MARY HALE

Mary Hale lives in Rock Port, Missouri. She is married to Troy Hale and has four children, Raina, Aden, Jaxon and Mason. Mary says “I am excited to work with the staff and students at Rock Port High School!”

JENNIFER VOGLER

Jennifer Vogler is a Rock Port High School graduate and has worked in the Rock Port Elementary pre-school for many years. She and her husband Clay have three children, Chaney, Tatum and Cy.
