The 2019-20 school year is off and running! Our 7-12 enrollment is steady at 154 students – which includes three new students and an incoming seventh grade class of 31. Our senior class features 30 students that we’re excited to have lead our school. We welcomed five new staff members: Jeremy Palmer, 7-12 Ag; Michelle Hogue, HS Math; Jennifer Vogler, 7-12 Special Education; Mary Hale, 7-12 paraprofessional; and Jennifer Rueckert, K-12 Art.
September offers no shortage of school events for students and staff. All teachers will head to Maryville for the annual 275 Conference Professional Learning Day on September 16. Junior high and high school sports have been hard at work for a several weeks now. It’s hard to believe we’re already into football Homecoming week! Band will be at Popcorn Days and volleyball will be at the EA Tournament this weekend. The cross country and girls’ golf teams have also started this week. Junior high volleyball and football will have their first games next week. Our school organizations have started meeting and looking for ways to improve our school and community.
On behalf of the students and staff at RPHS, we are looking forward to a challenging and rewarding 2019-20 school year; we thank our wonderful community for the continued love and support!
