Officer Oliver Davis, 8, of Leawood, Kansas, brought smiles to Pleasant View Nursing Home in Rock Port and Tarkio Rehabitation & Health Care in Tarkio Saturday, August 31, 2019. Officer Oliver is the great-grandson of Jim and Sharon Banister, Rock Port. He has appeared on national news shows, including Good Morning America.

Rock Port Policeman Derek Morriss, left, and Atchison County Sheriff Deputy Jacob Wheeler, right, had the pleasure of meeting Officer Oliver while he stopped at Pleasant View Nursing Home.

Officer Oliver is the son of Steve and Brandi Davis. Oliver’s goal is to make a visit to at least one nursing home a week. When he visits, he rides in on his police officer motorcycle and gives out hugs and roses to residents, along with citations for “being too cute.”
