The Tarkio Parks & Recreation Department, the many volunteers, and the hundreds of attendees put on a fantastic display of friendship at the Friendship Day Fair this past Saturday on Main Street in Tarkio. It was so wonderful to see all the kids (and adults, too) having a blast and thankfully, the rain held off until the very end of the night.

It is so exciting to see that Tarkio Technology Institute finally received the go-ahead from the state. This is going to be a tremendous boost for education in Atchison County, as well as a boost to the economy. Congratulations to the Tarkio College, Inc. Board of Directors, Tarkio College Alumni Association, and the many volunteers who worked tirelessly to see this through.
