In response to producers’ requests for information on available programs due to the 2019 flood and reduced market prices, the Farm Service Agency (FSA) in Atchison County and University of Missouri Extension are partnering to provide an informational meeting on the many newly authorized FSA programs.

The informational meeting will be held Thursday, October 3, 2019, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Velma Houts Fair Building, located at 302 East U.S. Highway 136, in Rock Port.

Topics will include: Agriculture Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage (ARC/PLC) changes in the new Farm Bill, On-Farm Storage Loss Program for stored grain lost in the flood, Wildlife and Hurricane Indemnity Program Plus (WHIP+) for production losses, Market Facilitation Program, Emergency Conservation Program for land repair, and Prevented Planting supplemental payment.
