(ROCK PORT) The Missouri State Highway Patrol has published a crash report for an airboat accident that occurred in Atchison County on September 19^th.

The report states that an airboat, described as homemade and operated by that Max Peeler, 80, of Rock Port, took on water while traveling in flood waters in the south west area of Atchison County, near Route Z and I Ave.

The boat sank and was left at the scene. A passenger named Deborah Hill, 55, of Winter Park, FL, later sought medical attention for minor injuries at Mosaic Life Care in St. Joseph. Peeler did not require medical attention.

Five Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers and three Missouri Department of Conservation agents assisted during the investigation.
