The Tarkio Fire Department will begin its 13th annual fund drive. The department is now a public charity so your donations are 100% tax deductible on your federal income tax return. Thanks to the support provided from last year’s drive (as well as years past), multiple pieces of equipment at the department, as well as a new 2019 Ford F-550 rescue truck, were able to be purchased. The 2019 fund drive is focused on raising money to equip the new fire trucks with the tools and equipment needed to make them fully functional while out on calls.
