Dan Lucas showed Mrs. Farley’s and Mrs. Hughes’ kindergarten classes many of the different types of food that are made from corn, including taco shells and hominy. They had fun tasting the difference between real corn and candy corn.

Members of the Rock Port High School FFA Chapter joined the kindergarten class for a tour of the John Deere combine that was used to harvest crops at the school farm.

It was all about harvesting and growing corn at the Rock Port School Farm on Wednesday, October 23. Farmers from AgriVision and Garst Farms visited with elementary students about their combines and semi trucks and answered a lot of questions about the equipment.
