Tarkio FBLA students trick-or-treated for the food pantry on Halloween. The Tarkio FBLA Chapter will receive an award at the State Leadership Conference in April for completing the Show Me Hunger: Unite The Fight project. This project focuses on the food poverty and the hunger problems that many communities across Missouri face. Communities may not have access to fresh, healthy, sustainable foods without assistance from the food pantries. Missouri FBLA-PBL has teamed up with other careers and student organizations in Missouri to raise awareness for the issue, and are collecting food for the local food banks and pantries. This was the first time the chapter performed this project, and it was very successful, collecting 213.40 pounds of food for the Tarkio Food Pantry.
