Members of Ralph Greer American Legion Post #49 went to Pleasant View Nursing Home and performed the flag folding ceremony for Ernie Green, Ted Harmon, Richard Vance, and Doyne Swan. Following the ceremony they were each presented with a small token of appreciation from the Legion for their service.

Student Body president Ethan Brumbaugh introduced the veterans who were present for the Veterans Day ceremony at Rock Port R-II School.

Colonel Todd Stevens was the guest speaker at the Veterans Day ceremony. The Rock Port Band played a tribute medley to the armed services, and Rebekah Lucas sang the Nation Anthem.

Rock Port sixth graders were guests of Ralph Greer American Legion Post #49 at a Veterans Day dinner Monday, November 11. The class has been working on their fundraiser and donated over $1,000 to the Atchison County Memorial Building Foundation.

The Missouri Freedom Quilters presented five veterans with quilts of valor that were all hand made at the Rock Port Senior Center. Pictured above, left to right, are: Noel Fischer, Marlin Gayler, Gene Herron, Corey Hill, and Ralph Gayler. Thanks, gentlemen, for your service.
