Fairfax’s annual Light Night will be Saturday, Nov. 30, at the Fairfax City Park.
The park will be decorated by businesses, families, and organizations wishing to share the Christmas spirit. Decorations are judged on Light Night and prizes will be awarded. Families can also sign up for family and youth prizes that were purchased with donations from area citizens. Refreshments of hot dogs and cocoa will be provided by the Fairfax Girl Scouts.
The evening will begin at 6:00 p.m. with music by Miss Fairfax and Little Mr. and Miss Fairfax. Just before 6:15 p.m. the crowd will count down and Miss Fairfax will pull the switch, lighting up the park for Christmas as many have done before her.
Families will make their way down to the slab to play games or go on a hayride around town to see lights. There will also be “minute to win it” games, and prizes.
Children will also have a chance to visit Santa Claus and give him their wish list.
