The TEC Club met Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at the home of Susan Braams. It was snowy and icy, but an occasion we will remember because Deb Johnson and Marie Adams “shot the moon” and made it. For the non-pitch player that means you win the game. So there was much screaming, yelling, clapping and bragging. But out of the eight rounds we played, I have to boast that Norma Bradfield and I had the high score despite the mooners’ game. Susan had low score. I knew there was trouble when she had listed herself as her partner on her score sheet.
Janell McQuinn was hostess, serving delicious lemon cakes and vanilla bean ice cream. Chit-chat was of course about the moon shooting and then to Marie’s moving to their new home. Home fires, road conditions, and health problems crept into the table talk until we noticed that passing cars had their lights on and decided we had to go home. Pitch can always change a gray day to a red-letter day.
