Tarkio High School guitarists Lexi Somerville and Jaden Clark, along with band director Amy Haddock, performed the “Star Spangled Banner” at the East Atchison Wrestling Quad Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at the Tarkio Activity Center.
The East Atchison High School Wrestling Team hosted a quad meet Tuesday, February 4, 2020, at the Tarkio Activity Center. East Atchison came in second place behind East Mills, followed by Southwest Iowa in third and Rock Port in fourth.
East Atchison defeated Rock Port 45 to 18, Southwest Iowa 42 to 30, and lost to East Mills 39 to 36. It was a fantastic night of wrestling from all teams. There were exciting individual matches that went back and forth and down to the last seconds.

The grappling between East Atchison’s Aaron Schlueter and Rock Port’s Colten Stevens in the 170 pound class was very evenly matched and had the crowd cheering for both boys. Unfortunately, both had bloody noses and when Aaron’s wouldn’t quit bleeding, he was forced to forfeit.
