Tarkio and Fairfax volunteer firemen responded to a house fire call at 311 S. 6th Street in Tarkio on Friday afternoon, February 7, 2020. The resident of the home, Dustin VanGundy, was able to escape injury and was able to get his dogs out of the home as well. The cause was determined to be an electrical fire that started in an outlet.
