Members of the Atchison County Farm Bureau Board of Directors visited with kindergarten students in Atchison County last week to celebrate Thank A Farmer Week. They spent time reading and talking about agriculture with the students in Tarkio, Rock Port, and Fairfax. Across the United States, one farmer produces enough food to feed nearly 165 people. Students were also left with Agriculture A to Z coloring books. Farm Bureau visited Tarkio, Rock Port and Fairfax schools. An All About Agriculture tabloid publication was also distributed to county fourth grade students. Thank you to all our farmers. Afton Hannah is pictured above with the Tarkio kindergarteners.
