The Rock Port FBLA Chapter raised almost $900 for Backpack Buddies for their “Kiss A Pig” community service project.

There were three elementary and three high school candidates. Chapter members made piggy banks for each and rotated them throughout the school, and also set up a booth at last week’s basketball game. Students and staff voted by placing money in the candidates’ piggy bank. Thermometer readings in the cafeteria were updated so everyone could see who was in the lead.

Candidates who ended up with the most money in their piggy banks got to kiss the pig. The elementary winner was Mrs. Farley, and the high school winner was Mr. Parsons. The winners kissed a pig at an all-school assembly February 14.
