It all started a number of years ago . . . Isn’t that how a vision works? We have an idea or thought, God’s prompting that causes us to move further and more than we ever could have imagined. Almost four years ago the area United Methodist churches dared to ask the question, “What if?” What if, we would dare to dream bigger than what each church could handle? What if we had a bigger picture than just growth in the United Methodist Church?

These are all good questions that led us to live into the, “what if.” Last year we dared to be in partnership with each other for mobile camp! This was a great time of growth within the youth of Atchison County. The exciting thing is that the vision is even bigger than this!

God is on the move in Atchison County! We are excited to once again offer Eagle Lake Mobile Camp. We truly believe that this non-denominational camp is a conduit of God’s grace that has the opportunity to spiritually grow the youth in whatever congregation they are a part of. It is our earnest prayer that each of our area churches experience growth of Spirit and revitalization. The camp is just one of many tools that we, together, can dare to dream of what God can do in our county. What’s your vision? What is God laying on your heart to grow more than we ever have dreamed? We know that with God all things are possible.

Eagle Lake Camp will be held June 15-19, 2020, 9:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., for youth between the ages of 6-12. This year, camp will be held at Rock Port United Methodist Church.

This camp includes all the team building activities and discipleship opportunities that a regular church camp offers. The activities include a 30’ water slide, a full scale rock wall to climb, laser tag, bungee swing, Gaga Ball, archery and much more.

There are highly trained professional staff / counselors on site for the entire week. The camp will provide lunches each day for every child. This is not a VBS – this is a full scale high energy, camp experience in our own backyard.

You may drop off your campers between 8:30 – 9:00 a.m. each morning at Rock Port UMC. On Monday morning, anticipate spending an extra 5-10 minutes checking in. You may pick up your campers between 4:00 – 4:15 p.m. each afternoon.
