
Robert L. Hawkins, age 54, Tarkio, Missouri, formerly of Fairfax, Missouri, died February 17, 2020, in Omaha, Nebraska, with his family by his side.
Robert was born June 11, 1965, to the late Donnie and Phyllis (Bunney) Hawkins. Rob attended Fairfax R-3 where he graduated in 1983.
After graduating high school Rob worked at various jobs. Some of those included: a band (where he played the drums), disc jockey, he announced basketball and football games, coached baseball, and worked at Pizza Hut and the former Eveready Company.
Rob had a love for many sports. He loved to bowl more than anything. He was in several bowling leagues and tournaments. He never missed a game of his St. Louis Blues hockey team. Rob loved baseball. When he was younger, he made his own baseball field. His favorite baseball team was the St. Louis Cardinals.
Rob also loved his three cats. They were his fur babies. Rob enjoyed taking long walks. He was so thrilled when he could visit with family and friends.
Survivors include: his brother, Greg Hawkins; nieces, Jody (Jacob) Bradbury and Lacey (Chuck) Rudisill; nephews, Kirk Hawkins, Jordan Hawkins, and Luke (Megan) Moore; great-nieces and nephews, Eli and Zoey Hawkins, Dominick and Xavier Bradbury, and Arlington Moore.
Services were held Friday, February 21, 2020, at the Fairfax Christian Church. Interment was at the Burr Oak Cemetery, Skidmore, Missouri. Memorials may be made to Burr Oak Cemetery or Fairfax Christian Church. Services were under the direction of Schooler Funeral Home, Fairfax.
