Northwest Missouri Eagles Archery Team shot their all-time best team score of 3,244 points at their last regular season tournament this past Saturday, February 29, 2020. The tournament was held at Northland Christian School in North Kansas City and qualified the Eagles for Tier 2 at state competition.  The Eagles will be competing at state competition held in Branson March 19th – 21st.  Six of the archers received medals at the event. Those archers were: Ethan Lucas of Rock Port – 3rd High School Boys; Brett Wright of Mound City – 2nd Middle School Boys; Juliana Binder of Bigelow – 4th High School Girls; Aiden James of Maryville – 3rd Middle School Boys; Jacey Rader of Mound City – 3rd Middle School Girls; Rennick Rader of Mound City – 4th Elementary Boys. In addition to those receiving medals, the following archers received top 10 recognition: Hunter Gordon, Cole Gillenwater, Courteney Gordon and Elena Gillenwater, all of Mound City. Coach Jade Wright commented, “I am very proud of our team and their accomplishments throughout the year. It is remarkable for a team to show this kind of improvement late in the season. It reflects their dedication, hard work, and continued desire for improvement.”
