Although there has not been a reported case in Atchison County, there have been event cancellations and business closings to stop the potential spread of the virus. Please let us know if your Atchison County event has been cancelled or business closed due to COVID-19.
So far this week, cancellations that we know about include: jr. high wrestling tournament scheduled for today in Auburn; high school scholar bowl at Jefferson scheduled for Tuesday; ACDC luncheons at Tarkio (March 18) and Fairfax (March 25); and St. Paul Catholic Church Spring Dinner (March 22).
The Rock Port Senior Center is now closed until further notice and meals will only be delivered on Mondays and Thursdays.
The Tarkio Nutrition Center will only be making home-deliveries on Fridays. A meeting has been scheduled for today to discuss future plans.
