Community Hospital-Fairfax (CH-F) is working closely with local public health agencies to respond to the COVID-19 situation. A team has been appointed to administer Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines and anticipate the needs of patients, staff, and community. The hospital is working to implement CDC guidelines appropriate to our unique situation. Community members are recommended to monitor the CDC website at www.cdc.gov. Hospitals are required to plan and prepare for emergency situations and CH-F is no exception. The CH-F staff is ready to serve the community.
The situation is very fluent; however, as of March 16, 2020, there were no confirmed cases in the area. Residents are urged to monitor Missouri Department of Public Health or local agencies websites or social media pages for updates on positive cases.
Policies in place that may impact the public include a change in CH-F’s visitor policy for inpatients. The most current policy may be found at www.FairfaxMed.com or on the hospital’s Facebook page. If you do not have access to the internet, please call the hospital at 660-686-2211 before visiting.
All patients, including clinic patients, will be screened according to CDC recommendations. This will include answering questions about symptoms, travel history and exposure.
Clinic patients exhibiting signs of respiratory illness are strongly encouraged to call the clinics before coming to their appointment.
