Fairfax residents enjoyed their COVID-19 – Free Cruise Night Thursday, April 9, 2020. Several people turned out to cruise up and down Main Street, enjoying seeing each other while abiding safe, social distancing laws. Brothers Max and Grant Hopkins, below, even braved the cold temperature (in the low 40s) to take a cruise on their scooter. Cruise nights in Atchison County are: Thursday – Fairfax; Friday – Rock Port; and Saturday – Tarkio.
