Neil Elliott Mobley, 55, of Aurora, Colorado, died Friday, April 17, 2020, at his home. Memorial services will be held at a date yet to be determined. A private graveside service will be held for the immediate family at the Jackson Township Cemetery in Montezuma, Iowa. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Neil Mobley GoFundMe page. Services are under the direction of Holland-Coble Funeral Home, Montezuma.

Neil Mobley, the son of Don and Mary Margaret (Elliott) Mobley, was born on February 24, 1965, in Jefferson City, Missouri. He attended elementary and high school in Rock Port, Missouri, and graduated in the class of 1983. He then went on to attend the University of Missouri at Columbia and graduated in December of 1988 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality/Business Management. Before he graduated from college, he was already working in his field at the Ramada Inn in Columbia. He soon relocated to Colorado to work at the Embassy Suites and the Hyatt Regency Hotels in downtown Denver. It was at these locations that he began working as a staff accountant. In 2004, Neil moved on to work at Hammersmith, Inc. as a staff accountant until 2019. He recently sought an upward career move to MARS LLC as a senior staff accountant.

Neil, first and foremost, was a diehard University of Missouri Tigers fan! He loved football and basketball and was a part of the University of Missouri Alumni Coloradoans that met in Denver and watched all of the games. Neil loved the Rocky Mountains. He loved his cat, Marley. He loved to golf and fish. He was devoted to his family for holidays, birthdays and important occasions. He was a kind and loving son.

His memory will be honored by his mother, Mary Margaret Mobley, of Montezuma; his sisters, Pam McKim of Coralville, Iowa, and Julie Mobley Oswald (Jim) of St. Joseph, Missouri; his nieces, Jill Oswald of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Jenna Oswald of Kansas City, Missouri; and his nephew, Joshua Oswald of St. Joseph, Missouri. He is also survived by countless uncles, aunts and cousins from all over the world. Neil was preceded in death by his father, Donald Mobley of Montezuma; and his grandparents, Melvin and Margaret Elliott of Montezuma, and James Elvis Mobley and Bethel Mobley of Doniphan, Missouri.
