The Tarkio Parks and Recreation Department will still be having the Doug Summa Memorial Park 5k Fun Run/Walk and Kids’ 1/2 mile event this year. It will be Saturday, June 27, with registration starting at 8:00 a.m. at the Tarkio Community Building.  The kids’ race begins at 9:00 a.m. and the adult race begins at 9:30 a.m.

Awards will be handed out to the top overall runners (male and female), to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers by age group, and to children 3 and under (will receive a participatory ribbon).

If you pre-register before June 17 you are eligible to receive a shirt. Pricing is a little different this year: $25 for an adult which includes a shirt, $20 without; and kids (12 & under) will be $20 with a shirt included or $15 without. Pre-registration can be made at Tarkio City Hall at 602 Main Street.
