There is a new home health agency serving the Atchison County area. Owned by Scott and Shelly Bentley, the family-owned business, Community Home Health and Restorative Care, is committed to bringing quality health care into the home, including the support of family and familiar surroundings to enhance the healing process and achieve the best possible outcomes. They offer skilled nursing care, physical, occupational, and speech therapy, as well as home health aid services. Shelly is an R.N. and has worked in home health for many years.

When Community Hospital-Fairfax closed its home health division, Shelly came to Fairfax and knew that serving this area was the right move for her and her family. “I really wanted to start a home health care business where there was a need for our service. I have worked in the Kansas City area for years and when I came to Fairfax, I couldn’t believe a place like this existed. It’s just a really nice place with a home-town feel, and all the communities surrounding it have that charm. We are really excited to be here and to be able to help this community continue their healing at home with quality services.”

Community Home Health and Restorative Care is serving the tri-county area, including Holt, Atchison and Nodaway counties. If you have questions about services offered, you can call 660-717-2114, email communityhomehealth@chh, or visit
