• Atchison County has gone far over its quota in the Seventh War Loan campaign, according to Fred Andrews of Tarkio, county chairman. The county has achieved both its sale of “E” bonds and its overall quota, purchasing $257,000 in “E” bonds against a quota of $238,200. The total bond sale, on a quota of $516,300, amount to $847,000.00. A letter from Bob Hill, outstate chairman of the Missouri War Finance Committee, writing from Columbia, states that Atchison County has achieved its quota before the expiration of the drive, which is true of all Northwest Missouri counties under the district chairmanship of Forrest T. Cilliam of Maryville.
