The Atchison County Commission met Tuesday, June 23, 2020. Present were: Presiding Commissioner Curtis Livengood, North District Commissioner Jim Quimby, South District Commissioner Richard Burke, and Susette Taylor, Clerk of the Commission.
Presiding Commissioner Livengood called the meeting to order.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Bills were reviewed and approved.
The commission reviewed the bid for replacing the east and west entrance doors to the courthouse. Maryville Lock and Glass bid $23,756 for the complete project. The commissioners voted unanimously to approve and accept the bid.
The commission reviewed the Chief Local Elected Officials Consortium (CLEO) By-Laws and Agreement as presented by Lisa Hostetler, Executive Director of the Northwest Workforce Development Board. There being no questions or concerns, the commissioners voted unanimously to approve the agreement. The agreement was signed by Presiding Commissioner Livengood and will be forwarded to Workforce Development.
Sheriff Dennis Martin was in to discuss moving the SUV back into the law enforcement fleet to use as a vehicle to attend training and as needed for other needs of the office. The commission agreed to the request and approved transferring $5,000 from law enforcement to county general which was the cost allowed if traded.
The county finalized the agreement with Community Hospital-Fairfax (CH-F) for COVID-19 antibody testing. Testing will begin immediately with CH-F personnel, followed by Atchison-Holt Ambulance District, first responders, long-term care facility employees, county employees, public officials, and law enforcement, followed by each of the school districts. Once completed the testing will be open to the public. Testing locations and information will be publicized as soon as they are confirmed.

Rhonda Wiley, E911 director, and Sheriff Dennis Martin were present to discuss department matters.
The commissioners attended the noon Rotary meeting at Grace Community Church and presented information about COVID-19 antibody testing that will be offered to the citizens of Atchison County.
