Oregon Trail Day will be Saturday, August 22, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in Oregon, Missouri. The day’s events include citywide garage sales, vendors around the square, and more.

The day will also offer a look back in history. Hector Sabates is restoring the E.U.B./Nazarene Church at 207 W. George Street and is opening the doors for visitors to have a look at his progress. The Holt County Museum and Research Center will also be open for visitors all morning.

An apparel shopping spree is possible at Cree Chic Boutique which also offers unique home décor. Store hours will be 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The Holt County Cancer Fund, Inc. will be selling raffle tickets on a Henry .22 caliber Ducks Unlimited Rifle in the courtyard. The rifle was donated to the fund in memory of Riley Holstine of Mound City.

When it’s lunch time, The 275 Grill is offering a small tenderloin special and the King & Proud Roadhouse is providing a smoked meat sack lunch. King & Proud will also offer bulk smoked meat and sides to take home.
