Hello, greetings from the congregation of the Watson Baptist Church and Pastor Reggie Koop and Julie. We hope this finds you safe and healthy! With all that is going on around us, COVID-19, BLM protests and riots, a hurricane hitting the gulf coast causing much destruction, many people are probably losing hope and wondering what is going on. How can this be? It seems things around us are out of control.

I would like to give you a verse for hope, Hebrews 13:8, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” As this verse says, Jesus Christ is constant. Never changing. If you are losing hope, if you think that things are out of control, you are in need, you need help. You can turn to God. He loves you. He will give you hope, if you are suffering, He will comfort you.

One of the attributes of Jesus Christ is that He has compassion for those in need, those who are experiencing a loss, those who have an illness and they think they can’t go on. He will wrap His arms around you and give you hope. Read Luke 7: 11-17. A woman had lost her only son, no husband, she would not have any way to take care of herself. When Jesus had come to Nain, a funeral was happening. Jesus had compassion for the woman and healed her son.

Jesus has that compassion for you. Turn to Jesus. God loves you and the Watson Baptist Church cares and wants to help you. We would love to see you.
