The East Atchison Wolves traveled to Hopkins, Missouri, to take on the NorthWest Nodaway Muskets Friday, September 4, 2020.
NorthWest Nodaway was the first to strike, going on top 6-0. The Wolves didn’t take long to respond with a pitch from quarterback Josh Smith to Jarrett Spinnato, making the score 6-6.
The next possession for each team resulted in scores making it 12-12. After the EA kick-off the Muskets were pinned deep in their own territory, and linebacker Kaylin Merriweather dropped the NorthWest quarterback for a safety. Going on top, the Wolves now led 14-12. This is how the Wolves’ defense would end the game, only allowing 12 points for the Muskets. On the other hand, the offense put 48 more points on the board to end the game EA 62, NW 12.

EA is hoping to carry their success on this week as the Wolves face South Holt/Nodaway-Holt on the road.
