The completion of the Brownville Concert Hall renovation will be celebrated Sunday, September 20, with a day of tours.

Safe tours will be conducted every 10 minutes from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Masks and the use of hand sanitizer will be required, and the tours will be limited to six people for proper social distancing.

The tours are free and reservations can be made at www.brown villeconcertseries.com, on Facebook or by calling the box office at 402-825-3331. Libations will be available under the big tent in the courtyard with proper social distancing.

There will also be a pre-recorded piano performance by Mary Lauber, Box Office Manager. Many of you may have enjoyed her performances on the Spirit of Brownville dinner cruises.

Mary holds a Bachelor of Music degree from Nebraska Wesleyan University, with a major in Applied Voice, and a Master of Music in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Music Education from the University ofNebraska-Lincoln. She has sung the roles of Lady Thiang in The King and I, Fiona in Brigadoon, and Julie Jordan in Carousel while at Nebraska Wesleyan.

She also sang leading roles in Summer Stock theater at Pinewood Bowl in Lincoln, Nebraska. She has been a soloist with the Nebraska Chamber Orchestra and was mezzo soprano soloist in Handel’s Messiah with the Lincoln Civic Orchestra.

Her performance will include playing and singing folk songs, gospel, spirituals, hymn arrangements, show tunes, golden oldies, and songs from the American Song Book.
