Community Hospital-Fairfax Family Medicine Clinics in Tarkio, Rock Port and Fairfax have announced that they are now able to join clinics in Oregon, Mound City and Burlington Junction in participation in the federal 340B drug discount program. Eligible patients will now be able to take advantage of 340B pricing for qualifying prescription drugs which may result in discounted prescription prices.

Patients eligible for participation in the 340B drug discount program are determined by the Health Resources and Service Administration (HRSA). Individuals are required to be a patient of Community Hospital-Fairfax’s Family Medicine Clinics. HRSA defines a qualifying patient as one who has a healthcare relationship with a clinic provider and that the patient’s medical record is stored at one of the eligible clinics.

Providers at the Community Hospital-Fairfax Family Medicine Clinics invite patients to discuss 340B eligibility at their next appointment.

“Qualifying our clinics for this program has been a long-term goal. We are very excited to be able to work with local pharmacies to provide discounted prescription drug prices to our patients,” explained Aron Burke, M.D.
