Sgt. Jake Angle of the Missouri State Highway Patrol was the guest speaker at the Tarkio Rotary meeting on September 15, 2020. He showed the Rotarians the recruitment video that the patrol uses to recruit officers. A year’s training includes a six month paramilitary style law enforcement  academy and three months with a field training officer. He reports that the numbers are low and the highway patrol is recruiting and hiring new officers.
