Doris Hale, 88, of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away September 5, 2020, at St. Clare Manor in Baton Rouge.

Doris was born June 2, 1932, in Lincoln, Missouri, to Ernest and Dimple Johnson. She grew up on a farm near Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln High School in 1949.

Doris was married to Waldo Hale on August 6, 1949, at the home of the officiating pastor in Lincoln. She was a lifetime member of the United Methodist Church.

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Dimple Johnson; husband, Waldo Hale; daughter, Kathy Bradfield; son, Larry Hale; brothers, Kenneth, Roy Dean, and Eugene; and sisters, Mary, Elizabeth, Annabelle, Betty, and Fern.

Survivors include her sister, Dorothy (Dwight) Alexander; son, Mike (Nancy) Hale, Council Bluffs, Iowa; daughters, Nancy (Danny) Umbuarger, Phillipsburg, Kansas, and Brenda (Mike) Kenagy, Fayette, Missouri; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and special longtime friends, Judy Buckley and Mechelle from Baton Rouge.

Private family inurnment will be held Home Cemetery, Tarkio, Missouri.
