Tarkio R-I
Tarkio R-I has reached the end of the first quarter for the 2020-21 school year and parent-teacher conferences have been scheduled. Due to COVID-19 concerns, the school has made changes to how the conferences will take place this year. Parent-teacher conferences will be held in person or by phone October 22 from 1:00-7:00 p.m. Face-to-face conferences will be brief with social distancing guidelines being enforced and masks required. If you plan to attend face-to-face and have not already made arrangements, please email your student’s teachers so they can plan accordingly. Otherwise, teachers will be reaching out via phone.
Grade cards will be mailed out the week of October 26. If you would like to see your student’s grades prior to receiving them in the mail, they will be available on SIS in the student and parent portal (all students know how to access this). Contact the Tarkio High School office (660-736-4118) or Tarkio Elementary Office (660-736-4177) if you have any questions.
Fairfax R-3
Fairfax R-3 School will hold parent-teacher conferences Thursday, October 22, from 2:00-7:00 p.m. in the high school building. This year, the school is still having an in-person option; however, the following is encouraged:
1) Meet with your child’s teacher over email, phone, or Zoom.
2) If you feel you need a face-to-face meeting with a particular teacher you are asked to set up a time in advance so the school can be sure there are not large groups of individuals in the building at one time.
3) If you come in for a face-to-face meeting, the school asks that only the parents and children come in.
4) Masks are required in the building.
If your child has a D or F in a teacher’s class, they will contact you to discuss. Grade cards will be mailed out next week.
If you have any questions contact Dustin Barnes, K-12 Principal, at dbarnes@fxbulldogs.net.
Rock Port R-II
Parent-teacher conferences at Rock Port R-II School will be held Wednesday, October 28, 3:00-7:00 p.m., and Thursday, October 29, 12:30-3:30 p.m.
School will dismiss early on Thursday at 12:05 p.m., and there will be no school on Friday, October 30.
Conferences will be held “normally” this year. Parents are asked to wear masks when in the building and meeting with the teacher. School officials also ask that only the parent(s)/guardian(s) come to conference. This will help limit the number of people in the building during that time.
Parents interested in a virtual conference should contact their child’s teacher to schedule an appointment over Zoom.
