Kris Umbarger from Community Hospital-Fairfax in Fairfax, Missouri, was the guest speaker of the Tarkio Rotary Club on Tuesday, October 27, 2020. Kris shared that the financial impact of the Covid-19 pandemic is between $750,000 to $1 million mostly due to people not coming to the hospital earlier this year as the virus spread. She noted that the good news is that the hospital did not have to furlough any staff due to COVID-19. The hospital is 10 years old and there are numerous pieces of equipment that need to be updated, but Kris noted that fundraising will be different this year.
