The holidays are approaching and the Tarkio/Westboro/Fairfax Food Pantry dates are changing for the months of November and December.

In November, the food pantry will be open Tuesdays, November 10 and 17, and Thursdays, November 12 and 19, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. On Tuesday evening, November 11, the food pantry will also be open from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.  The Tarkio First Christian Church will be responsible for opening the food pantry in November.

The opening dates will also be earlier in the month of December. The food pantry will be open Tuesdays, December 8 and 15, and Thursdays, December 10 and 17, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. On Tuesday evening, December 8, the food pantry will also be open from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. The food pantry board members will be responsible for opening the food pantry in December.

Clients are reminded that they will need to submit their re-certification paperwork either in November or December. The food pantry is in need of au gratin and scalloped box potatoes, French style green beans and saltine crackers. Monetary donations are always helpful as that allows the food pantry buyer to purchase the needed items.

The food pantry board meeting will be held Monday, November 9, at 9:30 a.m. The food pantry is located at 315 Main Street in Tarkio.
