Samantha O’Riley, Community Services, Inc. Atchison County Director, was the guest speaker at the Tarkio Rotary Club meeting on November 3, 2020. She noted that there are about 200 families in Atchison County that use the services of her organization. Of that population, the largest group is senior citizens. Community Services is sponsoring a program to provide a Christmas meal for a senior citizen. They are asking folks to donate $15 each that will be used to purchase the meal.

Second Harvest will be providing a food drop on the second Friday of every month. This produce is free for anyone in the community. Sam is planning on offering classes on menu planning and nutrition in the near future.
