Edna Frances Oxford, the daughter of Frederick and Marjorie (Kinzie) Pierson, was born July 14, 1935, in Paradise, Missouri. Edna attended and graduated from Paradise High School, Paradise. She lived in Texas and Missouri.
In the 1960s, Edna was united in marriage to Daniel Albert Oxford and they became the parents of one son, Vernon. They later divorced.
Edna worked as a cosmetologist, in fast food restaurants, and as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant.
Edna attended the Christian Church, Tarkio, Missouri. She lived an active life and had a caring heart. She loved animals, sewing, embroidery, crochet, and her two dogs. Edna passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021, at Sunset Home, Maysville, Missouri, at the age of 85.
Besides her parents, Edna was preceded in death by twin infant children, siblings, Wilburn Pierson, Marion Dwayne Lloyd, David Pierson, Mina L. Miller, Beverly Gallope, Linda Joanes, Gloria Peterson, and numerous infant siblings. Survivors include son, Vernon Oxford, Texas; sister, Ada Edwards, Maryville, Missouri; brother, Johnny Ray Dieter, King City, Missouri; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and interment will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, February 11, 2021, at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Kearney, Missouri. There is no visitation.
