The Fairfax Girl Scouts are hosting a Hopping into Spring Shoe Drive for Atchison County. There is a need for shoes in Atchison County as not all community members can afford to buy new shoes. The Girl Scouts are asking for new or gently used shoes of all sizes.

The shoes will be donated to the Atchison County Health Center for people to use in their time of need. The center has clothes and shoes in the basement free of charge for anyone in need.

If you would like to donate you may send shoes with a Fairfax R-3 student to school through April 16 or take them to Community Services in Tarkio at 322 Main Street. For more information call Sam O’Riley at 660-623-0062.
