Janice Lee Beggs was born on September 8, 1952, to Nate and Barbra Clark in Elmo, Missouri. She passed away on March 21, 2021, in her home in Mound City, Missouri, and went home to be with the Lord.
Before retirement she and her husband enjoyed managing hotels and storage units, as well as being caretakers of lodge estates throughout the United States.
Janice was a talented artist and story writer, and although her art work and stories were never published, they touched the lives of many and sparked the imagination of generations of children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jeff Beggs; infant son, Wesley Beggs; sisters, Karon Southard and Sharon Hamilton; brother, Darrell Clark; brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Fay Beggs; and brother-in-law, Jim Scheve.
Janice is survived by her daughter, Holly Webster (Joe Stiegmann) of Hamburg, Iowa; sister, Dianne Hayes of Phoenix, Arizona; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Herb and Mary Ann Beggs of Mound City; sisters-in-law, Linda Scheve of Springfield, Missouri, and Suzie Clark of Kissee Mills, Missouri; brothers-in-law, Harry Hamilton and Marvin Southard, both of Tarkio, Missouri; grandsons, Donald L. (Stephanie) Parsons of Rock Port, Missouri, and Clayton Parsons of Auburn, Nebraska; great-grandchildren, Jessica Parsons, Dreyton and Daxton Parsons, Harlee and Tayliegh Parsons, and Caitlin Parsons; and many nieces and nephews.
Janice has donated her body to science, so no services will be held at this time. She would have wanted any memorial donations to go to the Rock Port school library or the Mound City public library. Online condolences may be left at www.chamberlainfuneral.com.
