The keynote speaker at the Tarkio Tech Career Day was Tom Roberts, former president of CFM Distributors. Tom spoke to the students in the new Rotary Theater about his life experiences and that giving up was never an option.

Tarkio Tech held a two-day Career Day for sophomores and juniors from Atchison, Holt and Nodaway counties. The students were invited to the campus where they were given a tour. Prior to arriving, each student selected an area of interest. Following the tour, students broke into their groups to hear professionals talk about their chosen profession. Students heard about Arts and Communication, Health Sciences, Technology, Financing, Agriculture and Farming, Plumbing, and Electrical just to name a few.
