East Atchison and Rock Port athletes competed in the Class 1 District 8 Track Meet held Saturday, May 8, 2021, at St. Joseph Christian High School in St. Joseph, Missouri.
The Rock Port girls’ team placed third with 79 points and the East Atchison girls placed fifth with 66 points. The Rock Port boys placed fifth with 61 points and the East Atchison boys placed 7th with 41 points.
The top four places qualified for the Sectional Track Meet, which will be held Saturday, May 15, 2021, in Higginsville, Missouri.

Aubrey Watkins qualified in two events. She placed second in the 3200 meter run and third in the 1600 meter run.

East Atchison qualified two relays for Sectionals, placing first in both the 4×800 meter relay and the 4×400 meter relay. Relay members are Tommi Martin, Claire Martin, Sophia Martin, and Keena Merriweather.
Rock Port’s 4×400 meter relay placed second with a time of 4:35.73. Relay members are Mikayla Makings, Rachel Vogler, Rylee Jenkins, and Makenna Farmer.

Rylee Jenkins had a good day in the discus with a throw of 31.52 meters or 103’5” to place second.
