Linda D. Fuston, the daughter of Lloyd and Lela (Tallant) Jackson, was born April 10, 1949, in Phelps City, Missouri. She attended Rock Port High School, Rock Port, Missouri, graduating in 1967.

In the late 1960s, Linda was united in marriage to Gilbert Holmes and they became the parents of two daughters, Julie and Shannon. They later divorced. In late 1970s, Linda was united in marriage to Clay Miller and they became the parents of one son, Josh. They later divorced. In 1997, Linda was united in marriage to Pat Fuston.

Linda owned and operated numerous small businesses including Rebuck’s in Brownville, Nebraska. She was an avid reader and loved taking care of flowers and plants. She enjoyed watching and feeding the birds, seeing small animals play and chase each other in the yard, and sitting outside where she could enjoy her roses and the company and laughter of friends and family that stopped by. Her greatest joys, though, were helping others and being with her family. Linda passed away Monday, May 10, 2021, in Shawnee, Kansas, at the age of 72.

Besides her parents, Linda was preceded in death by daughter, Julie Holmes; twin granddaughters, Julie Ann and Nicole LeNae Holmes; and numerous siblings. Survivors include husband, Pat Fuston, Rock Port; children, Shannon Knapp, Shawnee, Kansas, and Josh (Tamla) Miller, Overland Park, Kansas; grandchildren, Chace Knapp, Trey Holmes, Moriah Brewer, Jared Thomas, and Bishop Miller; great-grandchildren, Tayton and Tannon Holmes, and Alaina Johnson; sister, Jean (Jim) Jochim, Rock Port; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A funeral service was held Saturday, May 15, 2021, at Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port, conducted by Rev. Glenn Scott. Interment was at Linden Cemetery, Rock Port.
