Take your family to the ninth Annual Pick-Up Country, KNIM Country Showdown preliminary contest Saturday, June 19, on the east side of the square in Maryville, Missouri. Starting at 6:30 p.m., 13 acts will compete for NorthwestCell’s People’s Choice Award. Michael Goff, former two-time winner of Pick-Up Country, KNIM Country Showdown, will be performing three songs during intermission.

Contestants are: Lonia Bowen, Codi Nuckolls, Nicole Salmond, Destonee VanBoening, Stephanie Neal, P & T, Lone Wolf (Tom Downing), and Markham Harris, all of Maryville; Syndey Billings and Kaci Billings, both of Barnard, Missouri; Decker Heyde, Stanberry, Missouri; Megan Helzer, Graham, Missouri; and Meva Alden, Carlise, Iowa.

Performers will move on to the Nodaway County Fair’s Main Stage Saturday night, July 17. The winner of the Country Showdown Finals wins $500.
