Andrew Allen Kirkpatrick, age 13, Westboro, Missouri, died Monday, May 31, 2021, at the Nebraska Medical Center, Clarkson Tower, Omaha, Nebraska.

Andrew was born September 8, 2007, in St. Joseph, Missouri. He had just completed middle school at Tarkio R-I School. While a student there, he was a part of the East Atchison Wolves football and baseball teams.

Andrew was a highly active young man, participating in all sorts of activities, some of which were Tae Kwon Do, fishing, and doing gymnastics on his trampoline. He was a big Nebraska Cornhuskers football fan and New York Yankees baseball fan.

He also loved spending time with his family by playing cards with Nate, riding four wheelers or actually anything with a motor, and being Hailee’s #1.

One of Andrew’s highlights came recently on a family vacation to Daytona Beach where he was able to participate in the Nascar Ride Along, being able to experience the thrill of his life at 170 mph.

Andrew was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Janet McHugh, and his aunt, Miranda Kirkpatrick.

His survivors include: mom and dad, Ashley Meier and Nathan Vardaman; sisters, Hailee Lingerfelt and Natalie Larabee, Westboro, and Mya Welch, Rock Port, Missouri; three brothers, Avery and Brayten Vardaman, Westboro, and Jacobi Hogue, Rock Port; maternal grandparents, Jerry (Carol) Kirkpatrick; paternal grandparents, Clinton (Janiece) Vardaman; aunts, Daisey Kirkpatrick and Jodie Vardaman; uncle, Joel Gibson; and four cousins, Camille and Cayden Gibson, Zailey Hall, and Arya Vardaman.

Funeral services were held Monday, June 7, at the Westboro United Methodist Church in Westboro. Burial was in the Center Grove Cemetery, Westboro.
