Atchison County Sheriff Dennis Martin thanks We Back The Blue organizer Kevin Staples for coordinating the Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner held Saturday, June 5, in the Fairfax High School cafeteria. All donations that the organization receives goes to local law enforcement agencies to purchase needed supplies. Also pictured, in the back, is Deputy Devon Sons.

Carolyn and Carroll Jones of Tarkio are big supporters of local law enforcement and emergency service providers in Atchison County. Their daughter, son-in-law, and grandson, Cheryl and John Brown and Trevor Brown (the latter two are Fairfax firemen), helped serve the Law Enforcement Appreciation Dinner, along with fellow fireman Rick Kemerling and Fairfax City Clerk Lori Helfers and her son, Austin.
