Allen H. Rosenbohm, the son of Herbert and Agnes (Cooper) Rosenbohm, was born November 21, 1939, in Langdon, Missouri. Allen attended Rock Port High School, Rock Port, Missouri, graduating in 1957. Following graduation, he helped on the Rosenbohm Family Farm in Langdon.

On August 20, 1960, Allen was united in marriage to Carolyn Schlup in Winston, Missouri, and became parents of four children, Cathleen, Tamara, Allen, and Theresa. They made their home in the Langdon and Rock Port area.

Allen worked in carpentry and helped build his parents’ home. He also enjoyed working as a mechanic on cars and tractors. Later, Allen was employed by Missouri Beef Packers as a meat cutter then moved to maintenance. Following its closure, he was then employed by Cargil where he worked in maintenance, retiring in the mid-2000s.

The last 10 years, Allen has enjoyed having a beer and fishing at Hoot Owl Bend south of Langdon on the Missouri River. He especially enjoyed growing large vegetable and flower gardens and watching his grandkids grow up. Allen passed away Friday, July 2, 2021, in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 81.

Besides his parents, Allen was preceded in death by son, Allen Rosenbohm; siblings, Gene Rosenbohm, Syrena (Larry) Schlup, and Marvin (Ellen) Rosenbohm. Survivors include wife, Carolyn Rosenbohm, Rock Port; children, Cathleen (Dennis) Roach, Tamara (Ronnie) Stoner, and Theresa Rosenbohm, all of Rock Port; grandchildren, Amanda, Clint, Cory, Lacy, Brooke, Blake, Jon, and Tabi; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, sisters, and brother-in-law.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 8, 2021, at Minter Funeral Chapel, Rock Port, conducted by Rev. Glenn Scott. Open visitation begins at 9:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 7, at Minter Funeral Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 a.m., Thursday, prior to the service. Interment will be at Hunter Cemetery, Rock Port. Memorials may be directed to the Allen Rosenbohm Memorial Fund. Online condolences may be left at www.minterfuneralchapels.com.
