Katiemarie Owen, Miss Carolina Foothills 2020

Katiemarie Owen, Miss Carolina Foothills, was one of 54 contestants who recently competed in the Miss South Carolina Scholarship Pageant.

Katiemarie is a senior at Furman University She is a double major in communication studies and studio art on the media studies track. She is the feature baton twirler for the Furman University Paladin Regiment Marching Band.

Katiemarie’s social impact initiative is “Advocacy and Adoration for Children of Disabled Veterans.” She says, “I couldn’t be more proud to represent children of disabled veterans, the men and women who bravely fight for our country, and the veterans who dedicated their lives to this country.”

She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Owen and the granddaughter of Joella Edwards, Rock Port. Her father is an American hero who served in the Navy and was wounded during the Gulf War.
